Our FAQs

What is collagen?

Collagen is produced naturally
in the body by combining amino acids – these are the building blocks of
proteins found in food. Collagen is the glue that literally binds us together,
the most plentiful protein found in our bodies. As we begin to age, from around
our mid 20’s, collagen slowly begins to deplete as we’re not able to replenish
enough of it through food consumption. This not only has an effect on our
bones, joint and muscles but also affects the skin, giving the
appearance of wrinkles and lack of elasticity.

If I have certain ailments/health concerns can I still takeCollagen Boost?

Collagen Boost is a natural
product free from artificial colours and flavours. Collagen is just
protein, and in our liquid, it is with the addition of essential vitamins and
minerals. If you have any health concerns regarding your protein intake or the
dosage of the vitamins in our elixir please consult your health specialist.

Can I take Collagen Boost if I am pregnant/breastfeeding?

Collagen is naturally found in
your diet and in your body. During pregnancy/breastfeeding your body's need for
collagen is higher than normal as your baby as well as you need support for
proper growth and development. The addition of the essential vitamins and
minerals in our collagen elixir are all safe to take in those doses. The
research into this topic is limited, however, it is safe to say it can be taken
during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you have any concerns, it is recommended
you speak to your midwife or health specialist.

What type of collagen does Collagen Boost contain?

Collagen Boost contains type I
and type III collagen which are the most commonly occurring types of collagen
in the body.

Type 1 – this makes up 90% of
our hair, skin, nails, organs, bones and ligaments.  It supports healthy
youthful looking skin and is the type of collagen that most collagen skincare
supplements contain.

Type 3 – this is found alongside
type 1 collagen and helps support skin and bone health.  It is also helps

How long do I need to consume it before I see any results?

Some may see results in as little as two
weeks, but for others it may take longer. No matter what your goal for using
Collagen Boost, it will usually take at least 8 weeks to experience noticeable
results.  Most studies use a minimum of 12 weeks to assess collagen’s effects
on skin health and joint pain relief and that’s what we recommend.

Take a picture on the
day you begin taking Collagen Boost, so you can view your results.  We
suggest taking a picture of your face, hands and scalp monthly

What’s the difference between liquid and powdered collagen?

Both liquid and powdered collagen provide the
same benefits. Both are great for skin, hair, gut, and bone health. The main
difference between liquid and powdered collagen is in the delivery. Research
demonstrates that liquid-form collagen is more efficient and has
quicker results than a powder or pill collagen supplement
.  Liquid
collagen is much more easily absorbed by the gut, and hence penetrates deeper.

Collagen Boost is hydrolyzed. That
means that large proteins have already been broken down, saving our bodies a
step and making them easier to absorb. It also makes the liquid better able to
dissolve into liquids like smoothies.

How do I consume my collagen?

Our liquid collagen comes mixed and ready to
drink. If you wish you can mix it in with a smoothie, water or even your
porridge but we recommend to drink your dose as it is!

How many doses does Collagen Boost contain?

Each bottle of Collagen Boost contains 20
daily servings. 3 bottles is 2 full months supply and is the best value product
that we offer, costing just over £1 per day making it one of the best value
collagen products on the market.

How much protein does one dose of collagen boost contain?

Each 25 ML dose of collagen boost contains 9.2
g of protein! Protein is a major building block for muscle
building/retention, skin and hair health.

What is the best time to take collagen boost?

You may find it beneficial to take your dose
in the morning as vitamin B12 along with B6 are best for energy. Almost every
cell in the body uses B12 and besides helping form red blood cells, B12
converts fat and protein to energy. A B12 deficiency causes tiredness and
anemia. Alternatively, you can take your dose at any time of the day or
evening, but we would recommend that you remain consistent with the timing.

Can I give Collagen Boost to my teenager?

In your teens, the amount of collagen produced
by the body is more than sufficient. It doesn’t begin to deplete until your mid
20’s so you don’t need to give it to teenagers.

Is Collagen Boost gluten free?

Our elixir is gluten free, sugar free,
cholesterol free, fat free, and caffeine free!

Is it suitable for vegetarians/vegans?

Collagen Boost is not suitable for vegans. If you do consume
fish as part of your vegetarian diet then our Collagen Boost is suitable for
you.

Can men take Collagen Boost?

Yes!  Hair thinning is a very common situation for most men, and one way to aid healthy hair naturally is by providing the body with all the building blocks needed for keratin, the protein
that makes up hair.

Is Collagen Boost marine collagen sustainable?

certified products when it comes to collagen peptides. This ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) scheme ensures producers with this certification are environmentally sustainable and accountable for their social responsibility.
